Gemma Farley was born and raised in Adelaide South Australia where she grew up with her parents and older sister. A lover of books and imaginings of other worlds from a young age Gemma would find herself drifting from reality into the world of her mind where she would witness stories of epic proportions unfold.
Waking early to write down short stories or staying up late into the night to explore what only she could see were the glimpses into the initial stages of a story wanting to be told. As life continued and the reality of work, bills and the need to be an adult came rumbling in Gemma focussed her sights on her career in management putting her passion for writing aside. In early 2015 however the time came for the story to be told and the first words of The Stolen God started to hit the page. With dedication, focus and support the story formed into a book which was completed later that same year. Gemma lives and works in Adelaide and enjoys spending time in her local area with her family and friends. A passionate traveller Gemma draws on the sights and experiences of the places she has visited to expand the wonder of her stories. Allowing her experiences to form the worlds on the page and her passion for family and friends to build strong foundations for the characters. Gemma's hope for all who read her books is that they are swept away by their imagination and enjoy the worlds she has created. |
